Formatting for portfolio
Your portfolio pieces should be word-processed documents in MLA format (in other words, double-spaced–except for your cover letter, which should be single-space–, 12 pt times New Roman, with one-inch margins).
You do not need a cover sheet for each essay or for the portfolio as a whole.
Please add (if you don’t already have one) an adapted MLA header to the front page of essays (not cover letter) that looks like this and is set in the upper left corner:
Your name
My name (Holly Pappas)
English 101
Date
Assignment name (Memoir, Ethnography or Profile, Proposal, Position paper, or Photo essay)
On the right top you should have an MLA header atht gives your last name and the page number (with each essay numbered individually).
